EU Citizens
According to Law 199/2023, citizens from EU countries, the European Economic Area (EEA) and the Swiss Confederation have access to all forms of education under the same conditions as Romanian citizens, being given the possibility to apply for state-budgeted or tuition-paying (study fees paid in RON) places of study.
Candidates shall comply with the following procedures:

Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas obtained by candidates abroad
Candidates who have a high school or Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD diploma obtained in a European country, other than Romania, must have their studies recognized and validated by the Romanian National Centre for the Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) within the Romanian Ministry of ǿƵ and Research, which will recognise the studies completed abroad and will issue a Certificate of Recognition.

II. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE RECOGNITION AND EQUIVALENCE OF DIPLOMAS ISSUED ABROAD
Candidates should first contact one of the responsible persons at the University of Craiova listed above for further information regarding the application process for the recognition and/or equivalence of their diplomas issued abroad, if they wish to enrol in one of the study programmes offered by the University of Craiova.

- Equivalence of diplomas awarded for Romanian citizens by educational institutions in Romania which organize and perform educational activities in correspondence with the education systems of other countries
- Equivalence of Post-Secondary diplomas awarded abroad for Romanian citizens
- Equivalence of Vocational school diplomas awarded abroad for Romanian citizens
- Recognition of studies for EU Member States, EEA and Swiss Confederation citizens and their family members, holders of long-term/permanent residency permit in one of the aforementioned states, for admission to post- secondary school or undergraduate
- Recognition of pre-university study documents for European countries citizens to facilitate the access to labour market in Romania

- Equivalence of undergraduate studies done abroad for Romanian citizens
- Equivalence of postgraduate studies done abroad by Romanian citizens
- Recognition of doctorate diploma and of PhD. in science or in a professional field, obtained abroad
- Recognition of the studies graduated by EU citizens, required for admission in a Romanian higher education institution at the master / doctorate level
- Study recognition for citizens of the EU, EEA Member States and of the Swiss Confederation, their family members, holders of a long term CE residence permit and refugees, in order to access the work market

- copy, if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish or Italian;
- copy and certified translation in Romanian (PDF document with qualified electronic signature of the notary public who performed the legalization), for the documents issued in other languages;
4. academic transcript:
- copy, if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish or Italian;
