EU Citizens

 

According to Law 199/2023, citizens from EU countries, the European Economic Area (EEA) and the Swiss Confederation have access to all forms of education under the same conditions as Romanian citizens, being given the possibility to apply for state-budgeted or tuition-paying (study fees paid in RON) places of study.

 

Candidates shall comply with the following procedures:

Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas obtained by candidates abroad

Candidates who have a high school or Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD diploma obtained in a European country, other than Romania, must have their studies recognized and validated by the Romanian National Centre for the Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) within the Romanian Ministry of ǿƵ and Research, which will recognise the studies completed abroad and will issue a Certificate of Recognition.

I.   The application for the recognition of the studies completed abroad may be submitted:

  • Online, through the  (by candidates, on their own)

 II.      DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE RECOGNITION AND EQUIVALENCE OF DIPLOMAS ISSUED ABROAD

 

Candidates should first contact one of the responsible persons at the University of Craiova listed above for further information regarding the application process for the recognition and/or equivalence of their diplomas issued abroad, if they wish to enrol in one of the study programmes offered by the University of Craiova.

 

 1.   application form:

 2.   personal identification document and proof of legal change of name (if applicable) – copy;

3.   study document to be recognized:

  • copy, if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish or Italian;
  • copy and certified translation in Romanian (PDF document with qualified electronic signature of the notary public who performed the legalization), for the documents issued in other languages;

4.   academic transcript:

  • copy, if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish or Italian;
  • copy and certified translation in Romanian (PDF document with qualified electronic signature of the notary public who performed the legalization), for the documents issued in other languages;
